Initial Orientation and Training
Our goal is to welcome and retain high potential, talented employees.
We place a significant priority on properly welcoming new employees into their job function within the company, including a Firm overview, basic training, benefits information, key introductions, and an off-site lunch with various staff members.
All new team members receive a full day of orientation and training upon commencing employment, beginning with an introduction to HR, IT, Payroll, and Internal Accounting, and the opportunity to meet with at least one of our Partners.
The CDL Buddy System helps you to establish important relationships immediately.
We want your transition to be as stress-free as possible. Using a “buddy system,” CDL pairs a new hire with a “go-to” person who can help him or her get adjusted to life at the Firm. This means that a new staff member will have the guidance of a peer to answer questions and help introduce you to CDL culture, procedures, policies and software programs.
When you join the CDL team, we want you to feel confident that you made the right decision from day one, so we have created an environment with opportunities for you to stand out, make an impact and have your contributions noticed from the moment you arrive.
When you join CDL, you will play an integral role in client engagements from the start. We will provide you with real challenges, direct interaction with clients and partners, and leadership opportunities — so you can hit the ground running.
Through our mentoring program, our new team members are paired with an experienced senior team member, helping you to gain invaluable real life experience from highly qualified senior professionals. As we see it, we’re investing in our ability to deliver the best talent and highest value to our clients.
Mentoring pays off big – for you and the Firm. It will help you:
- Become acclimated to the Firm and your assignments
- Map out your career path and help keep you on track
- Set your annual goals and monitor your performance
- Develop leadership abilities and take your career to new levels
- Sharpen your technical and communications skills
- Get the most out of your CDL experience
At CDL, we have created an environment where open dialogue, professional growth, and innovative thinking are highly encouraged. We want you to maximize your personal potential so we provide you with thorough, ongoing training that is customized to your interests, and we offer continuing education to keep you well-informed on industry updates.
To succeed in the CDL culture, candidates must be self-starters and strive for results. We are looking for people who adhere to the highest standards.
