Michelle Price has spent her entire career in public accounting.  Prior to joining CDL in 1995, she worked for a Big 6 Firm.

When did you know you wanted to work for an accounting firm?

I knew I wanted to work in accounting when I was in high school.  I have always loved math.

What is the most enjoyable part of your work?

I enjoy the client interaction and the diversity of our client’s needs.

What is the most enjoyable part of being part of the CDL team?

Our family atmosphere and the interaction the shareholders have with all of the staff.

What do you wish someone had warned you about before entered the accounting world?

Keep up with your time report!

What was one of the most important things you learned from your mentor(s)?

Don’t ever be afraid to ask questions.

What do you think sets CDL apart from other accounting firms?

Definitely the quality of our work.  I feel it surpasses other firms.

Is there anything specific you would like the community to know about CDL?

The quality and care of our clients doesn’t change based on the size of the client engagement.

What was your most memorable story or event since you started working at CDL?

When we first starting having our CDL picnics.  We wanted to organize something for the staff so all of us and our families could get together in a social setting.  It was great seeing everyone in that fun and relaxing atmosphere.

What are your interests outside of work?

Family, photography, my dog, and fishing.

Is there anything you would like to learn from someone in the millennial generation?

The millennials have a much better understanding of work/life balance… how do you do it?

Do you have anything you would like to share regarding our 30th anniversary and the success of our Firm?

I think the success of our Firm is relative to the hard work of our entire staff.  As we have grown, we have maintained the quality of our work.  And, as a staff person, knowing that the shareholders are always here working hard right along with us makes all the difference.
