Firm Employee Receives CPA License

The CPA firm of Caler, Donten, Levine, Cohen, Porter & Veil, P.A. (CDL) is pleased to announce that Gary Mann received his CPA license on May 17. Mann, an Advanced Staff Accountant in CDL’s Audit Department, is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2012.

Robert P. Marrone III Joins CDL as Family Office Supervisor

CDL welcomes Robert P. Marrone III as Supervisor in the Family Office Services department. Robert brings 18 years of experience working in the ultra-high net worth environment. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Robert received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from St. John's University in Jamaica, New York.

Keith Pence and Michelle Vanderwall Listed in Forbes Magazine for Charity Fundraising

Two employees from the certified public accounting firm of Caler, Donten, Levine, Cohen, Porter & Veil, P.A. raised more than $5,000 each for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and have been recognized as LLS's "Executive Challenge Class of 2017."

Charles Friedman Joins CDL as Senior Tax Manager

Charles Friedman has joined the Firm as a Senior Tax Manager. Charles joins four other Senior Tax Managers as the Firm continues to experience strong growth in the first quarter of 2018. Charles recently relocated to Palm Beach County from Long Island, NY. He has worked at several accounting and law firms in the New York Metropolitan area.

CDL’s Allyse Carter Named FICPA’s 2017 Emerging Leader

Allyse Carter was announced as one of the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) "Emerging Leader" graduates. The announcement was made during the Leader's Summit in Tallahassee in December. Allyse, a certified public accountant with CDL since 2016, was one of 34 graduates from six regions throughout the state.

CDL Closes 2017 with Notable Highlights

2017 marked CDL’s 30 years of providing certified public accounting services in South Florida. William Caler, David Donten, Joel Levine, Scott Porter and Mark Veil laid the foundation for CDL’s growth.

David Donten Honored with Companion Medal From Palm Beach Atlantic University

On Tuesday, Nov. 14, David Donten, tax shareholder, was honored with the Companion Medal as part of Palm Beach Atlantic University’s American Free Enterprise Day 2017. The event took place at Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Greene Complex for Sports & Recreation.

CDL Opens New Office in Martin County

CDL is pleased to announce the opening of their Stuart office. The office will be located at 850 NW Federal Highway, Suite 121 in The Nexus at Stuart office complex. With the rapid growth occurring in Martin County, CDL wants to partner with the community and service Treasure Coast individuals, families and businesses for their specific accounting needs.

Lou Cohen began his career in Washington, DC in 1984. He joined Caler, Donten, Levine, Cohen, Porter & Veil, P.A. in 1990 and became a Shareholder in 1994. He provides tax, compliance, and consulting services for closely-held businesses, pass-through entities, and high net worth individuals. He also has extensive experience with the restaurant and hospitality industries and directs the Firm's Restaurant and Hospitality practice. Additionally, Lou testifies as an expert witness on matters involving trust accounting and business litigation.
