Jim Mullen began his career with a Big Eight firm in West Palm Beach in 1982.  He joined Caler, Donten, Levine, Cohen, Porter & Veil, P.A. in 1990 and became a Shareholder in 1994.

Jim has more than 35 years of public accounting experience in the area of taxation and serves clients in the areas of partnership, corporate, individual, and trust taxation. He also has extensive experience in state and local taxation.

I admire someone who has the ability to successfully excel at balancing both work life and home life. 

How do you prepare for busy season?

I travel, and from November through December, I celebrate and do a lot of holiday entertaining with my family and friends. 

How do you wind down after busy season?

I do more travelling and boating.  I also enjoy gardening and landscaping around my home.

What’s on your bucket list?

I’d to travel to lots of foreign destinations.

I enjoy earning the trust and respect of the clients.

What advice would you give someone considering a CPA career?

Be prepared to work hard.
