Lou Cohen began his career in 1984 with an accounting firm in Washington, DC. He joined Caler, Donten, Levine, Cohen, Porter & Veil, P.A. in 1990, became a Shareholder in 1994, and became President in 2012.
Lou has more than 30 years of public accounting experience. He provides tax, compliance, and consulting services for closely-held businesses, pass-through entities, and high net-worth individuals. He also has extensive experience with the restaurant and hospitality industries, and directs the Firm’s Restaurant and Hospitality practice. In addition, Lou testifies as an expert witness on matters involving trust accounting and business litigation.
How do you prepare for busy season?
I get lots of rest ahead of time and I make sure that any small projects are completed prior to the start of the busy season.
How do you wind down after busy season?
I head to the Bahamas!

I enjoy interacting with the upcoming leaders of our Firm and teaching them about the business side of our practice.

Be prepared to manage the time constraints required to be successful.
