What do you like most about being a CPA?

People and relationship building.   I enjoy being able to assist clients to minimize taxes, teach and mentor our Firm’s rising stars, and learn from people with a lot more experience than me.  I also enjoy building relationships with like-minded advisors in different industries.

What advice would you give someone considering a CPA career?

Being a CPA is a great career path.  There is a lot of flexibility in the application of the accounting degree and CPA license.  Make it a priority to take the CPA exam as soon as you can at the start of your career.
