Tom Pence began his career with an accounting firm in West Palm Beach in 1990. He joined Caler, Donten, Levine, Cohen, Porter & Veil, P.A. in 1996 and became a Shareholder in 2001.

Tom has more than 25 years of public accounting experience in the area of taxation and serves clients in the areas of corporate, partnership, individual and not-for-profit taxation. He also has extensive experience in real estate and personal service enterprises.

What’s on your bucket list?

To travel to China and visit the Great Wall of China.  I’d also like to go to Australia someday.

What do you like most about being a CPA?

I enjoy working with so many people.  I really like helping the Firm clients think about their future, retirement, education – things that matter most to them.

What advice would you give someone considering a CPA career?

Study hard and take the CPA exam as soon as you can.  Also, while you’re still in school, consider interning at a firm to get a flavor of what it is like to work in the public accounting field.
