CDL will be the Premier Presenting Sponsor of this year’s Take Steps West Palm Beach Walk (the Walk). It is the tenth anniversary of the Walk and the goals are to raise money for Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation research and bring awareness to the community.
Rebecca Levine, daughter of Joel Levine, will be this year’s 2018 Honored Hero. Rebecca was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in 2005. Born and raised in West Palm Beach, and currently living in New York and working as the Event Director for the Altamarea Group, Rebecca wants to inspire others – especially children, teens and young adults – on how to manage IBD.
“My family and my father’s CPA firm employees and clients have been tremendous supporters of the Foundation and the West Palm Beach walk,” said Rebecca. “As this year’s 2018 Honored Hero, I want to do whatever I can to raise awareness and research dollars to help eradicate this disease forever.”
Last year, CDL was the number one fundraising team in the United States, raising more than $81,000 for the 2017 Walk and beating out teams from Los Angeles, Liberty State Park, NJ Fairfield Westchester, CT and New York City.
This will be the Firm’s eighth year participating in the Walk. Since 2010, CDL has raised close to $500,000 for the Foundation.
The Take Steps Walk will take place on Saturday, Nov. 3 at CityPlace, with festivities beginning at 10:00am.
